What is Options Academy-Wokini?

Wokini is a small program with less than 25 students per class.

We assign all students a laptop computer to use at school and at home.

Wokini offers Common Core courses that follow the Ohio Department of Education curriculum.

Students are still members of Lakota East or West High School and can participate in ALL home school activities, such as dances, sports, and club activities.

Diplomas are awarded by their home school and reads Lakota West High School or Lakota East High School.

Wokini uses an online curriculum that allows students to work at their own pace.

Many Wokini students complete their required courses and graduate early.

Wokini students earn an average of 6 full credits a year.

Wokini’s unique program allows students who are credit deficient to catch up.

Wokini has a team approach to teaching that includes four core academic teachers, a social worker who holds an LISW, a principal, and a secretary.

Lakota Counselors visit regularly to aid students in college searches, home school activites, etc.
